Your Ultimate Guide to the Pinnacle of the H-Artistry Trilogy 2012

The Pinnacle of 2012’s H-Artistry – The Global Art of Mixing Trilogy is all set to culminate on 3 November 2012 at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC), and there’s no better reason than to go ALL out and make this a spectacular night to remember.

Nobody wants to think of details and logistics when there is such an amazing party in store. Fret no more, as organizer side have decided to put together our ultimate guide for the night!

H-Artistry Essentials: What to Bring and Why

Personal Identification

No one wants to be “that person” who forgot their ID and makes the rest of their friends wait for them while they rush back home to get their piece of plastic. Security needs to make sure you are over the age of 18 and non-Muslim to enter the premium party enclave setup for you. There will be multiple security check points to ensure the safety and comfort of all you party goers, so come prepared with identification!

H-Artistry Passes

Security at the H-Artistry finale will be bumped up to ensure the safety of all party goers, and entry will only be granted to those who turn up and register with their physical H-Artistry passes. Don’t crash the party, head on down to and participate in “Hands on Hennessy” to win your tickets now!

Aside from keeping in touch with your friends and coordinating your trip to MIECC via the H-Artistry Party Shuttle or the H-Artistry Party Taxis, you absolutely MUST bring your smartphones, because the MY Hennessy mobile app available on the iOS App Store and Google Play will enable you to participate in the exciting activities at the Hennessy Art of Mixing Zone. You can score points for participation and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes!

Point & Shoot Camera

Point-and-shoot cameras would be easy to bring along and are perfect to capture amazing moments at H-Artistry with you and your friends! Bulky DSLR cameras will not be allowed, so keep it light and simple to have the best time possible!

Sufficient Cash

H-Artistry will have some FOC services and measures in place, such as the H-Artistry Party Shuttle service and free drinking water throughout the night, but you will need to bring some cash if you’re taking the H-Artistry Party Taxi to and from MIECC.

We strongly suggest you to ride the H-Artistry Party Taxis, as RM20 will be subsidized off your return fare. Food stalls will also be set up outside the venue for everyone to recharge during and after the party. As much as we want you to party hard, we want you to party responsibly too.

How to Get to H-Artistry:

Be sure to take advantage of the H-Artistry Party Shuttle and the H-Artistry Party Taxi services that have been specially introduced for the H-Artistry 2012 finale, as parking at MIECC will not be available on 3 November.

H-Artistry Party Shuttle - FOC

Start the night off worry-free with the H-Artistry Party Shuttle! Meet your friends at any of the following locations and hop on the H-Artistry Party Shuttle which will chauffer you all the way to MIECC and back, for FREE. The H-Artistry Party Shuttles will be making one stop at each location, and it will be able to accommodate 40 passengers per trip! Partying on the bus will most definitely be permitted.

1. KL Sentral –
Entrance to Departure Hall, opposite SOOKA

2. Wisma Bentley Music (Opposite The Curve), Mutiara Damansara –
Entrance, opposite Tesco

3. Viva Home Shopping Mall, Jalan Loke Yew –
Main road bus stop

4. Endah Parade, Sri Petaling –
Bus / Taxi area

The H-Artistry Party Shuttles will be arriving at these locations at 7.30pm, and will leave at 8pm. Departure from MIECC back to these locations will be at 2.30am. As seats are limited, the shuttles will take passengers on a first come, first serve basis.

H-Artistry Party Taxi - Subsidized

H-Artistry has teamed up with the good folks at Sunlight Taxis to provide cabbie support from Sunlight’s comprehensive network of taxis around the Klang Valley. Party goers can book their return trips to MIECC and back, and RM20 will be subsidized off the return fare.

Bookings to H-Artistry can be done online at, while four taxi concierge desks will be set up at MIECC for party goers to book a ride home. Check out for more information.

Friendly Reminders on Partying Responsibly at H-Artistry:

To help everyone pace their drinks, the free flow of Hennessy V.S.O.P. long drinks will stop at 12midnight, and drinks can be obtained in exchange for drink coupons till the end of the night. Five H-Artistry drink coupons will be given out upon registration at the counter, so be sure to hold onto them till the stroke of midnight! And remember, you will only be allowed to exchange five coupons for drinks at one time!

Staying hydrated is the way to go, and thanks to H-Artistry, drinking water will be provided FOC throughout the night! Just approach any of the friendly bartenders behind the Hennessy Mixing Bars, or help yourself to complementary mineral water bottles at the Chill Out Zone at the end of the night. Remember, H2GO is the way to go for a great experience at H-Artistry!

Don’t be in a hurry to leave when the party is over, as there’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to Chills-the-Mills after H-Artistry and talk about what a fantastic time you had! You can either rest up at the Chill Out Zone after the party, or recharge at the food stalls that will be available outside the venue. So if you see a friend walking out after the party, remind him/her to Chills-the-Mills and buy them a skewer or two of Malaysia’s favourite after-party food: LOK LOK!

Partying responsibly would mean nominating a designated driver, or riding in the H-Artistry Party Shuttles or the H-Artistry Party Taxis to and fro H-Artistry. So be smart and Ride-On-The-Side on your way home from H-Artistry. Remember, NEVER drink and drive.

Where to Stay:

If you find yourself having an amazing night and don’t want the party to end, who says you need to go home? Just hop on an H-Artistry Party Taxi to one of the hotels below! You may either continue with an after party or head straight to bed – we strongly recommend the latter.

Heineken Launches New Iconic Bottle‏

Talking about beers, not to say the German or Russian beers, Heineken is considered one of my favorite among. It is the world’s No. 1 International premium beer served in over 176 countries around the world since 1873. It is the leading imported beer brand in many European and Asian countries. Heineken is the leading choice among discerning drinkers around the world. Additional information is available on

Back to the topic, Heineken is proud to announce the launch of its new iconic bottle, featuring innovative details that provide a contemporary appearance and enhance the overall drinking experience.

The launch is part of a global roll-out, streamlining Heineken’s visual identity and making the brand even more consistent and recognizable in all 176 markets worldwide. The new design stamps Heineken’s progress together with consumer’s sophisticated taste and also solidifies Heineken’s position as the market leader in the international premium beer segment.

The bottle features an embossed curve, inspired by the label ‘racetrack’, on the neck and back. The back of the bottle features the same curve motif, set above an embossed Heineken logo and the iconic star. The curve acts as a thumb groove and is perfectly placed to meet the drinker’s fingers which add tactility and grip as they grasp the bottle whilst keeping the beer to stay cooler. Additional bottle updates include a slimmer body accentuating the bottle’s premium feel and an elongated appearance emphasized by both vertical neck branding and a higher label position.

As the world’s No. 1 international premium beer, Heineken understands it’s the small details that make the difference. The introduction of tactile elements further reaffirms Heineken’s quality and authenticity in the mind, and on the fingertips, of the consumer throughout the entire drinking experience.

Heineken fans and party goers like me, pretty sure the following message I’m bringing up can drive you crazy and gone wild! To celebrate the launch of its new iconic bottle, Heineken is flying down renowned Dutch DJ, Ferry Corsten to Malaysia for an exclusive invite-only party on 11 July 2012 at KL Live. *scream*

Want to join me for this exclusive money-can’t-buy party? Score an invite to the event, visit Heineken’s Facebook page at

The launch party kicks off an exciting campaign dubbed the Heineken ‘Progressive’ Tour that will see exclusive events held nationwide and also Heineken’s well-known music programmes: Heineken Green Room & Heineken Thirst slated in the last two quarters of the year.

Hennessy V.S.O.P New Bottle Design by Chris Bangle

After the money can’t buy launching party, let’s come some talking point for the new bottle itself.

The legends are shaped over time and Hennessy V.S.O.P cognac’s personality has gone unchanged for nearly two centuries do you believe that? Naturally, such an iconic cognac should be presented in a bottle whose curves signify the elegance and generosity of its content, as well as its balance and exceptional harmony and designer Chris Bangle has been tasked with moving the design of the Hennessy V.S.O.P. bottle forward.

In case you do not know who came out this new bottle of masterpiece, Chris Bangle he is. An American automobile designer known for his daring design and far-reaching influence, known best for his work as Chief of Design for BMW Group, where he was responsible for the BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce motor cars from 1992 to 2006. Vroom-vroom on the road was well designed by Bangle and me fortunate enough to meet with this super cool designer during the launching day, cool mad!
The Hennessy V.S.O.P new carafe is his first masterpiece outside the automobile industry. The slightly accentuated curve in the side of the bottle, reinforcing the dynamic of its silhouette by just less than 1 mm. Chris Bangle chose to confirm this upward movement with a thicker base resembling a pedestal to distinguish the whole and stabilize it which get Inspired by the Hennessy V.S.O.P. bottle created in 1954. Also, added a hollow bottom to the bottle to adapt it for handling and lengthened the bottle’s neck and straightened its shoulders, stretching it vertically. He drew two lines of perspectives in the glass around the central label, creating an optical effect by structuring the front of the bottle with a pyramid perspective.

The choice of paper and colours for the labels had been revised too. The symbolic Hennessy V.S.O.P. oval is coloured in a dark grey ennobled with golden embossing, a reminder of the alchemy of contrasts comprises it. The main label highlights this refinement with a shimmering gloss imprinted with clusters of grapes and vine leaves in the background as a subliminal reminder of the origins of the cognac contained in the bottle.

The box that the bottle comes in has also benefited from this renewal, giving its edges over to a more modern vision: the sides have been refined so that all we see is the bottle, dramatised by photographer Adam Savitch.

Hennessy V.S.O.P New Bottle Launching

Just for your little information about Hennessy before I start.
The let you drink drank drunk Hennessy is the world’s leading premium cognac brand. Founded in 1765, the house of Hennessy has continually strived to create the World’s finest cognacs.
But did you all know what's actually V.S.O.P stands for?
The legend of Hennessy V.S.O.P. began on 7 October 1817, when the future King George IV of England asked the great French cognac House to supply him with a special cognac described in the records with the words “Very Superior Old Pale”. That was how V.S.O.P came from!

Get invited to Hennessy New Bottle Launching which held at Doubletree by Hilton located at KL Intermark. Celebrities, medias and guests were invited into the White Room for the presentation and launching of the of new Hennessy V.S.O.P bottle design before the party started.

Building the future with Hennessy V.S.O.P, it moves forward in a spirit of continuity with a new bottle and packaging design.

After an initial modernisation of the bottle in 1989, V.S.O.P. is moving resolutely into the 21st century, as can be seen in the work of designer Chris Bangle (former BMW Chief designer), a legendary figure in the automobile world, who has redesigned its contours to bring its sleek silhouette firmly into the future, a new looking futuristic bottle has come out.

“Designing for Hennessy gave me the same sensations as working on designs for fast BMWs or a great Rolls Royce. It is that experience of a unique emotion,” said Chris Bangle.

Chris Bangle made a rough sketches of the bottle with using an iPad before the unveiling of the new bottle. After his presentation, the new Hennessy V.S.O.P bottle was finally brought out by the Hennessy ambassadors and thus, commence the launching of the new bottle design. Also, the box which comes with it has a total new refreshing look too.

The party time! We were ushered to The Black Lounge, where the happening party  and excitement awaits us. Party, body shaking, drinks in hand with the mix of songs by DJ Eva T & DJ Reeve.

Introduce the Hennessy 360 Cam.

Owh...can't wait for the next Hennessy events!

Top: Unknown boutique
Bottom: Uniqlo legging jeans

Decoration for the whole store just for the Cortez event could totally made you impressed. Can’t believe they set up a Ramli burger stall, ice cream van, cotton candy, Cortez cupcakes, Asahi beer just to serve the guests better. And all these were free flow all night long! Good music makes good party indeed, our very own local and my fav DJs – Blink and Goldfish were spin the house down on that night.

Also, they were having a contest “Pimp My Cortez” which everyone get to design their very own inspiration art piece of Cortez.

The whole event had successfully made it as a gathering for the fashionista/fashion lovers/streetwear community/hype bunch and all of us did enjoy it tho.

Glenmorangie's SOUNDFORM Fluid Showcase and Afterparty‏

SOUNDFORM Fluid which a stunning, sculptural bar that brings to life the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ philosophy advocated by Glenmorangie. It was officially unveiled the couple weeks back at The Gardens in Mid Valley. In case you do not know, the SOUNDFORM Fluid bar was designed by renowned architect and interior designer Philip Michael Wolfson for Glenmorangie, and it was inspired by the sonograph reading of the sound of Glenmorangie whisky being poured into a crystal glass. How nice.

Statuesquely taking the centre stage at the North Atrium of The Gardens Mall, the SOUNDFORM Fluid is an evocative sight. Its bold jagged edges are covered in a black aluminium finish on the exterior, while the golden orange interior, which mimics the colour of Glenmorangie, is lit up to create an aesthetic, visual counter balance. Complementing the stunning display was commentary by Glenmorangie Malaysia’s Brand Manager, Michael Tan, who explained the concept that sparked the creation of the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ SOUNDFORM Fluid bar.

Felt so great I was get invited by G2PR to attend to the showcase and after-party, brought the boyfie and my party queen was tagged along too. The showcase saw celebrities and single malt aficionados enjoy a night of appreciation as they savoured the ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’. After which, the crowd adjourned to Vertigo for the after-party featuring US DJ duo Manufactured Superstars, who supplied a steady flow of house, dance and electro pop into the night. They did served us nicely, VIP area with a Glenmorangie bottle on the table. Ended up three persons finishing up the whole bottle, nice job!

Let the photos do the talking, shall we?

During the showcase

Now, let's come to party time!

The SOUNDFORM Fluid bar remains on display at the North Atrium in The Gardens, Mid Valley till 1 May 2012. Whether you are a fan of contemporary design or just plain curious, head over to catch the SOUNDFORM Fluid, before it leaves for its next destination in South East Asia.
